Volunteering With Dundas County Hospice

We are currently looking for volunteers willing to do office work and/or offer their assistance with our fund raising events!

Important Volunteer Information

Volunteers are recruited, selected to meet specific criteria set by the hospice. Information acquired through the screening process will remain confidential.
All "in-home" volunteers will receive orientation and training in the full range of the hospice's client care activities.
Volunteers:
1. will receive orientation and training in the philosophy of hospice and in the range of the hospice's operations
2. are evaluated as part of the training program.
3. will not be charged any fee for their hospice training.
4. will be assigned to clients and supervised by the Co-ordinator of Volunteers,
    may decide to work in other important areas ie. fundraising, office work, board, etc.

The hospice will provide full liability coverage insurance for its volunteers.
Individual volunteer records are to be considered confidential information for the use of the hospice management only.

You may volunteer in many ways.
1. Client visiting/support
2. Office Volunteering
3. Fundraising ie Bingo, special events decorating , bartending, etc
4. Board members are always needed
